My favorite subject of the semester:

This week post is about my favorite subject this semester, this subject is urban sustainability, this subject this subject is focused on approximating us to the sustainable development of the contemporary city, to get this objective, it is necessary that we as students understand and consider the impact of urban life on the environment and on the use of natural resources.

This semester I have learned about global and national statistics; resources, energy and global warming, in addition to those that I consider most interesting like: sustainability in the development of urban morphologies; urban mobility; public space and water, waste and sustainable city. 

These topics have made me develop a change in my opinion about sustainability and the care of the planet, I feel that we as architects have many tools, in addition to the responsibility of working to achieve sustainable cities in their totality, in their habitat, in their spaces and in their mobility. helping the care of our home that we call earth. 

I invite you to continue working in the care of our planet, we ourselves are responsible for the continued living in the world.

This website is very useful for me, when the assistant or the teacher of the workshop talks to me about some work or architect that I can take as a reference in my work, the first page in which I look for it is in this one.

   

on this page you can find information about a project: the location, description of the work, the planimetry and a lot of photos of the work. 

the level of information you can find on the page serves to know the project without more detail, this is why I like the page, is something like the first look that can be given to the work of an architect, without searching exhaustively. so it is necessary to visit more sites to find a higher level of information.

Need for Speed!

Hi, this week´s post is about my favorite movie: Need for Speed.

my passion for cars took me to the movies to see this movie, I didn't know much about her until I saw her in the movies, but to this day I still see her regularly, the protagonist of the film is Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul), is a mechanic who modifies cars for racing in illegal street races. In need of the means to keep his family workshop afloat, he reluctantly accepts to associate with the wealthy and arrogant former NASCAR driver, Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper). But just as he's about to save his workshop through a big deal with car dealer Julia Bonet (Imogen Poots), a disastrous career allows Dino to put Tobey in jail for a crime he hasn't committed, leaving Brewster free to expand his business across the country. Two years later, Tobey comes out of prison ready for revenge. Considering that I'm a big fan of cars and that I love action movies, it's the perfect movie for me.

My favorite piece of technology

Hello everyone:

This week post is about technology and my favorite gadget, it´s very easy to choose which one is my favorite, this because this device I consider a working tool, this tool is my smartphone. I consider that at present the telephone is part of our life, the present telephone that I have I buy it with money that I got working in the summer. With my phone I do all kinds of activities, for fun as well as for the university, I listen to music, watch videos on YouTube, download file of U CURSOS, read text for homework and edit presentations.

My favorite activity with my cell phone is taking pictures, the cell phone I have helps me to have a better result and get results like these: 

I think that life without this device would be a little slower, because I could not do the things I do on my phone in the instant and I would have to find a computer to do them.

Hi!

when I was a child, my dream job was to be a chef. I always dreamed of working in a restorant and to win a Michellin strar. the end of that dream was when I met the CU innovation center, how to get that building to stay stable with those protrusions I look fantastic.In this moment I decided to study architecture, I researched more about the career, and my new dream was to be a desing spaces in which people can live.

this career was my only one option at the moment of applying to university, of course, the University of Chile was not the only option in my list, but if the first.

my experience at university until now has been very good, I have met very good people who are now my Friends, I have had not problemas with the teachers and i have good grades.

the kind of job I would  I like to have is desinging quality social houses, or design new construction solutions using current technologuy. Googbye!.

my name is Omar Carvajal, and the topic of this post is my autobiography. I was born in Calama at 9th, june of 2000, and in this city I lived with my parents and my sister.

when I was a child, I did like going to the school so very much, I thought it was happy and excited. when I finished school, I had idea of what a study. not always the idea is the same, but finally, I was decided to study arquitecture. since last year I live with my grandmother here in Santiago.

my favorite hobbies are listen to music, my favorites band is marron 5 and morat. My other hobby is going to the stadium to encourage my favorite team´s players to win.
